BIG WEDNESDAY IS COMING!
It's tough before pay day, but don't let being skint stop you from frequenting your favourite brewery and tap house.
So now, on the last Wednesday before pay day, between 7pm and 10pm, you can enjoy any draft beer under 6% for £3 a pint.
And if you're not a drinker, even better, because any designated drivers accompanying you can get free soft drinks (Coke, Diet Coke, Lemonade or Squash) as well.

What is Home Brew Club?
The Twisted Barrel Home Brew Club is an exciting chance for anyone casually interested or passionate about making beer at home to socialise with other beer enthusiasts, share advice, discuss tips and recipes and learn more about the brewing process. Members can bring their own home brew in for constructive feedback, obtain help on equipment queries or brew issues and help each other to improve as brewers both at the monthly meetings and online through the invited members Facebook page.
What can members expect?
Meetings are popular and well attended, featuring talks on many aspects of brewing, followed by a Q&A and finishing up with that months’ home brew challenge tasting.
Challenges are set for each month throughout the year and every participant’s submitted beer is tasted and judged by the club. The challenges give members the chance to get creative and brew different beers which they might not have attempted before and expand their knowledge and appreciation of the style, utilising different hops, malts, yeasts and techniques following the challenge guidelines.
One of the high points on the Club calendar is an annual home brew challenge, whereby every participant’s free-style entry is judged by a panel, with the winner having the opportunity to brew their recipe on our 6BBL kit and see it sold commercially with your name on it.
Various social events also feature throughout the year, visiting other home brew clubs, beer festivals, brewery visits and participate, whatever your level of experience in a periodic club brew. Where everyone gets to pitch in making a beer at the brewery designed by the members themselves on the brewery pilot kit. Which is very much a learning and progressing together process.

To celebrate the final season of A Game Of Thrones we are dedicating an entire day to the tv and book series, A Song Of Ice And Fire
Featuring fun and games, cosplay, episodes on the big screen, and a quiz to test your knowledge on George R.R. Martin's opus.
If you're lucky we may also have a visit from the Melisandre and Jaime Lannister!
From 12th April we will have Dirty Kitch taking over our kitchen with their plant based street and soul food.

On a side note, if you're a keen homebrewer then the event is being tied in to the Leicester Homebrew Club and Ritchie (Head Brewer of Twisted Barrel) will be on hand to judge the entries. Get ready for love, as Twisted Barrel Ale hosts its first Blind Date Night.
We'll have our very own Cilla Black to present the night, and Our Graham" will be introducing the contestants.
We'll have prizes for the lucky couples that might met their match made in heaven, including a night out at our very own bar.
We're looking for entrant sign ups for this one, so please fill in the form below and we'll get back to you in January to let you know you've been successful and to organise the final preparations for the night, including getting those important 3 questions.
The form will be open until Saturday January 2nd 2016, after which we will collate all the information and get in touch with our contestants.

There will be two levels of membership to the club, as follows:
Casual - suitable for anyone who simply wants to spend their down time talking all matters of beer geekery and get feedback on their, probably less frequent, incursions into the world of home brewing
Full - suitable for the enthusiastic home brewer, who wants to enter their beer into competitions, obtain access to cheaper raw materials (malt, hops and bottles), and one day hopefully win the chance to brew their recipe on our shiny 6BBL kit. The full membership carries a small registration fee which will be used by Twisted Barrel to cover admin costs and purchase a vacuum sealing machine and peripherals so that your hops can be kept safe and secure
The club will meet monthly on a Tuesday evening from 7pm to 11pm. Feel free to bring along your home brew creations for us all to share!

It's Christmas, so of course we going to show you Christmas movies this month.
Christmas movies can be so divisive. You've got your classics, like It's a Wonderful Life or Santa Claus: The Movie, and you've got your offbeat Christmas movies, like Bad Santa, but we think we have the perfect antidote to all that.

For the second time this year, we'll be opening our brewery to a takeover by the awesome, The Vegan Grindhouse by Vegan Vox.
There will be a selection of delectable vegan treats available for you to enjoy, all made from a combination of our awesome beers and Vegan Grindhouse awesome selection of burgers, hot dogs, chillis and ice cream!

Every month we'll bring you all our pilot kit beers, and some special small scale collabs with other brewers.
There will always be at least 2 of our pilot beers on all weekend (as long as there's any left) and the rest will be our core range of beers.

Our regular monthly games night will see us opening our games cupboard and letting you loose with our board games.
Also, look out for our gamesmaster, Jamie running a masterclass on a particular game.
It's part of our brewery's heritage (along with Star Trek), and it's so many people's favourite trilogy, and for one night only, to celebrate the release of the Episode VII, we will be rocking Star Wars all night long.
